Lasdon Park has one large deer fence that covers about 30 acres and encompasses several of the parks gardens, greenhouses, trails, and buildings. It is not so much an example of how a deer exclosure in the forest functions as a means of regeneration as it is an example of one type of fence you could use to construct an exclosure. This fence protects the gardens from deer, so it differs from other exclosures on the list because it’s not made to be temporary. It’s a sturdier fence and may need less repairs but it would also be more expensive and time consuming to install. To access the fence, follow the entrance road to park in the main lot. The fence begins at the arboretum entrance and Memorial Garden, which you can locate on this map.
