Describe your favorite experience in the woods (preferably with a family forest owner).
A landowner took me around his property to show me all of the work he had done to attract wildlife such as deer, turkey, bear, and bobcat. It was obvious he had put a lot of time and effort into this. He told me it was his passion and he had no plans on slowing down. He treated his property as a site to experiment with different food crops and how effective they were at attracting wildlife. Occasionally academic institutions in New York have taken interest in his work.
