Updated every few days, this map from the NYS-DEC shows the fire danger risk across New York State from low to extreme. The RAWS on the map indicate locations of “Remote Automatic Weather Stations”.

There were over 80,000 wildfires in New York State from 2003-2017. Check out the frequency of wildfires in your area using this map of wildfires reported by New York State Rangers and Fire Departments.
