Spring Emergence- Living with American Black Bears

Join us at the beautiful Mountain Top Arboretum in Tannersville, NY to learn the bare necessities about living responsibly with black bears roaming the neighborhood. Hear from a NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation Wildlife Technician about the lifestyle of black bears and learn safety tips and best practices you can take to coexist with bears while avoiding unwanted encounters at home or on the trail. Participants will have access to educational handouts provided by CCE, NYSDEC and BearWise!

This event is hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene counties. CCE of Columbia and Greene Counties is part of the Cooperative Extension land grant system, an educational partnership between county, state, and federal governments that is administered in New York State through Cornell University.
