Maple Sugaring, from Past to Present

CCE staff will take participants on a journey from the past to the present. Learn about the historical practices of maple sugaring, experience current methods to collect sap, see maple processing equipment in action, taste sap straight from the tree, and take home a tapping kit of your own. This offer includes a short walk up a hill to discuss woodland management for maple production. Please reach out if you have accessibility limitations.
This event is hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties. CCE of Columbian and Greene Counties is part of the Cooperative Extension land grant system, an educational partnership between county, state, and federal governments that is administered in New York State through Cornell University.
