Invasive Species ID & Reporting Walk at Frost Valley

Invasive Species ID & Reporting Walk at Frost Valley

Join the Catskill Center’s Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership (CRISP) Director, John Thompson, for a walk through the Frost Valley Model Forest to learn how to identify invasive species and report your observations using the free iMapInvasives app. This program is a collaboration between the Catskill Center, Cornell Cooperative Extension Columbia-Greene Counties, the Rondout Neversink Stream Program, and the Watershed Agricultural Council. Participants will be asked to complete a brief program evaluation following the walk.

Please bring a smartphone and download the iMapInvasives app prior to the program; instructions will be shared after registration. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, and bring water. A hand lens may also be helpful for identification. Advance registration is required, this is a free event with a suggested donation of $10.
